Children's Home - Kiefer School is a private, therapeutic school located in PEORIA, IL. It has 122 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 8 to 1. Funded entirely throughcommunity donations,Almost Home Kids is a 12-bedroom, 21,000-square-foot home. Welcome to Almost Home Kids
A healthy community where children and families come first. Intact Family Services is an Illinois Department of Child and Family Services program that provides resources to families at risk of losing custody of their children. CHAIL’s Supervised Independent Living Program is a program designed for young adults working to gain their independence. Clients live in group homes with 24/7 access to staff but are encouraged to explore their independence by way of community engagement, maintaining a job, forming healthy relationships with friends and neighbors, etc. Many of the youth in our care lack stable, reliable relationships with adults. Becoming a mentor to one of our clients makes a tremendous difference in the lives of our young people.

Children’s Home operates out of ten locations in the Peoria area and works collaboratively within the community to meet new challenges. As a leader in our field, we are optimistic that better outcomes are always possible through education, therapy and intervention, foster care, and community support.
